It was early on a November morning
and she had just woken up, she turned around and saw the empty space next to her, she looked at it, she lay there, in bed,
just staring at the empty space next to her, she had never been loved by anybody before, and that empty space symbolized that,
she had had sex, but the men didn’t love her, it was just sex, not love, no one had ever lay next to her, held her in
his arms, no one had ever woken up with her the next morning.
That was all she wanted, just one
little wish, but something like that, a wish like that, to be loved, it wasn’t such a little wish at all really, and
she soon found that out.
Between gazing at the empty space
and moving between consciousness and unconsciousness she made that wish, she wished somebody would come and take her away,
she wished for her knight in shining Armour as she had heard about as a small child, she even almost saw it happen in a dream,
but she was awoken by the garbage removal she got up, put the kettle on and thought to herself, with her luck, one of the
garbage removal men would probably fall in love with her, shrugging the idea off with a sigh she sat at the kitchen table
reading yesterday’s times, the kettle stared to whistle, she got up and made herself some coffee, as she was pouring
the coffee she saw the classified section on the back page, maybe that’s what she should do, maybe she should meet somebody
through the classifieds, she knew there were people that did this type of thing, and that sometimes it worked out, but she
also knew that only really desperate people did that, but she was, she needed to feel loved, she needed to feel wanted, needed,
she need to feel.
She got her coffee and went through
the classifieds, after almost giving up hope with the lame entrée’s of lies and losers, she finally found somebody,
“ Average height respectable
man in his 20’s looking for friendship with possibilities of a long term relationship”
She had never been in a real long-term
relationship, she had once gone out with a boy for 4 months, but that’s when she was 12 and it was just for status really,
she was now 23, she knew people… friends even who were married at 23… she didn’t want to grow up alone…
so she sent the paper a note to send to him
“ Read your classified interested
in meeting you; I’m 23, reasonable height and looks, 7 pm Friday evening café vita hope to see you there”
this was her first Friday she actually
had something planned to do, but that wasn’t all, it was her first date she had had for ages, as time drew closer she
started to feel so many different feelings, she was nervous, worried, happy… this might be it, he might be the man of
her dreams.
It was finally Friday, she arrived
at the café a halve hour early, when she realized, “ How’s he going to now who I am” but luckily it wasn’t
going to be that hard, the only other people in the café were a gay couple, a old aged lady and a fat Italian man who seemed
to be the owner, she soon realized she had company when the table moved slightly she looked up and there he was, sitting in
front with a weird looking grin on his face.
He confirmed who he was, and they
soon got very into their conversation, about their favorite books, their favorite music, they laughed about their differences
and how they both got so passionate in debating, he got a bit weird sometimes though, but she brushed it off, told herself
it was just her being weird, that she hadn’t been out for a while.
Soon it was late, and he had to
work the next day, he apologized for having to leave and said how sorry he was, how he’d love to do it again, so they
made a date, and they did do it again, they did it often, but for awhile it was just a for company thing, no real feelings
were felt, until one night he told her he wanted the relationship to be exclusive.
So it was, and she had gotten what
she wanted, all he would do is love her, instead of just laying next to her in bed, he’d gaze at her, just stare, never
taking his eye’s off her, and she was happy… for awhile, after a bit it got too much, she needed her space only
problem, he didn’t want to give her, her space, he wanted to be with her always… or that’s what he said,
so she tried to understand him, but when he started to doubt her love, that’s when it all began
One night she went out with some
old friends, and they were at a bar, funny enough, so was he and when he saw her speaking to a group of guys, he totally freaked
out and went for them and she got hit accidentally, this is where the realization started, she had to break up with him, it
wasn’t going to work out, he was the seriously jealous type….
…She had to break up with
him
it took her weeks to figure out
how to tell him, she still saw him, but she felt very awkward being with him, kissing him, knowing, at sooner or later she
would have to tell him she didn’t love him, when it finally came time tell him she nervous, she didn’t want to
hurt his feelings and she was worried how he’d react.
She told him, and he took it a lot
better than she had expected, he looked sad, but he said he understood, and he thanked her for being honest, it was already
five months from then, and she hadn’t even heard from him since they broke up.
On night she was out with her friends,
it was almost closing time and her friends were she accidentally bumped into a very attractive man and they started talking,
they spoke until they were kicked out of the club, from where they went to a nice little all night coffee shop to talk some
more, they had so much in common and he was just so amazing, he had great looks, and was funny as well as intelligent, he
told her he had to go and she started to panic, she didn’t want to let him out of her life so quickly, and apparently
he felt the same, he asked her if they could possible do “this” again, she giggled and said of course, she’d
love to… trying to tone down her absolute giddiness, it all happened to fast, but it was as if it were fate, they were
so perfect together, and he didn’t do anything of the weird things her ex did, he did everything just perfect, he was
her knight, and he had come to save her.
She quickly realized how deeply
in love she was, and when she told him, he exchanged the feeling, everything was going so great, she was finally going to
be married… almost 25 and she was going to be married, it was all just like a dream, she started planning for the wedding
straight away, she would have married him on the spot right there, but she had to wait for 3 months, but time flew.
It was a week before her wedding,
everything was going smoothly, and her dress was beautiful the cake was beautiful; the weather was going to be perfect the
venue was amazing it all just fitted into place.
It was time for the bachelor and
bachelorette party they both went their separate ways, she went to a friends house, as did he.
When he arrived there, there were
strippers, and his friends were already having a party, every one looked happy, and seemed to be enjoying them selves, somebody
blindfolded him, it must be his turn for the raunchy “wet and wild” lap dance he thought but when he got into
a car boot he started to wonder, what did he’s friends have install for him, they drove for awhile, he started to complain,
“common guys, at least give me a hint”
But he heard nothing.
They stopped, and somebody helped
him out, he started to get annoyed, when he found himself strapped in a chair, looking into the face of his wife’s ex,
is when he really started to panic, even more so when he saw the blunt and extremely rusted scalpel, and when the man started
to cut his chest open even more so
Eventually the ribs were moved apart
and the heart was cut out…
… And put into a box wrapped
up very neatly he took the box to her house the next morning and left it on the door step rang the bell and was gone again;
she heard the bell and ran out quickly in her wedding dress and looked at the box, looking at it, thinking it was a present
from her husband, being the romantic fool he was (when he said she had his heart, he was being a lot more honest than he knew…)
she opened the box and saw it was from her ex, she dropped the box onto her dress staining blood all over it.
Don’t look for love, it will
find you…
